Mixing tungsten with daylight. This is Airstar's answer to color-correct the daylight balloons. Dimming up and down (warming and cooling) the tungsten globes will allow you to decrease or increase the color temperature of your Airstar. This is an extremely precise and convenient way of making any small or large last-minute adjustments while out on set. Our best performers are: the 8.4K ellipse: 2.4K Daylight and 6K Tungsten inside a 2.5m elliptical balloon with built-in reflector and 3 adjustable skirts. The 8.4K can be doubled inside a Tube and becomes the 16.8K Tube. Both of these lights are used extensively in both feature films and television shows. |
